Composite Decking Adelaide

Building the finest composite decks in Adelaide at Adelaide's lowest prices for over a decade

Composite decks, sometimes also called Eco decks (not to be confused with the brand Eko Decks), are decking boards that are made from a mixture of new plastic, recycled plastic (usually around 80%) and wood fibres. They come in a wide variety of colours and woodgrain finishes as well as premium, standard and fire resistant types.

The main advantage of composite decking is that it is very low maintenance. In Adelaide timber decks should be cleaned with an acid based deck wash and oiled twice a year. Composite decking does not require oiling, only a wash down with soapy water whenever they begin to look dirty.

Most composite decking board manufacturers provide a guarantee that their boards will last between 10 and 25 years. Most of our clients elect to use the Eko Deck designer series product which is guaranteed for 25 years.

Composite decking is a terrific choice if you don't have the patience or inclination to wash and oil; a timber deck twice a year. The harsh climatic conditions in Adelaide and surrounds also lend themselves well to composite decking as it is very durable, in particular around swimming pools and coastal environments. Lastly with composite decking the fixings (called clips) are hidden out of view as opposed to timber decks where you will see rows of stainless steel screws.
